Because I miss Sunday already!

I for one thought the weekend went by WAYYY too fast, so I decided to bring a little of it back by moving a Sunday brunch staple into my Monday routine. This peanut butter, pineapple, honey, and jelly french toast will have you saying, mmm-mmm to Monday!

 

Start by toasting two slices of bread and slather one side with peanut butter, jelly, pineapple and top with honey.

Put in an egg and milk wash.

Cook it up in some butter and enjoy! Ahh, feels like the weekend again!

Ingredients
  • 2 slices of bread (I like multi-grain)
  • 2 TBS peanut butter
  • 1 TBS jelly (I used strawberry for this one)
  • ¼ cup pineapple thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 TBS milk (I used almond milk)
  • 1 TBS butter
Instructions
  1. Toast bread slices
  2. Slather one side with peanut butter and jelly
  3. Top with pineapple slices
  4. Drizzle with honey
  5. Top with another slice of bread
  6. In a shallow bowl beat egg with milk
  7. Dip both sides of te s
  8. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat
  9. Put coated French toast in pan - give each side about 2min until golden brown on each side
  10. Top with a dusting of powdered sugar if you choose!
